Stefan Johansson

Stefan is a doctor of technology and affiliated faculty at KTH. He researches how everyone should be able to participate in the digital society.

He received his doctorate in 2019 with the thesis Design for Participation and Inclusion will Follow: Diabled People and the Digital Society.

Stefan's overall research questions are:

  • How does the digital society work for people with mental and cognitive impairments? What advantages and what obstacles does digitization create?
  • How can designers and developers better understand how digital products and services can be made accessible to people with mental and cognitive impairments?
